BTech Part-Time

Studying part-time at BCIT presents an opportunity to broaden and deepen your knowledge of the world around us; to work at your own pace of study; and to advance your career in today’s rapidly changing field of technology.

Students are required to complete the CST BTech program within seven (7) years starting from the date of their first technical degree-level course or the date of acceptance to the bachelor program, whichever comes first. Degree requirements may change over the period of your studies, however regardless of changes, you are required to follow the curriculum requirements in effect the year you were admitted to the degree program.

Course Registration

Once accepted into the part-time program, students register and complete classes on a course-by-course basis. CST BTech part-time courses are taught in our Downtown Vancouver Campus, and Burnaby Campus in the evenings and weekends, as well as Online. CST BTech courses are term based, typically starting second week of January, April, and September and are 12 weeks in length. Please see the 2-year tentative schedule for course availability under the Resources & Documents section below.

As BCIT strives to keep courses and credentials current, both courses and programs are subject to change without any advance notice and may not run due to insufficient student numbers. When a course cannot proceed, applicants will be contacted and advised on alternative study options and/or provided with a full refund.

Finance:

Fees for part-time courses must be paid at the time of registration using one of the methods listed on the Flexible Learing Fees page.
